My life in the past years has been all about snowboarding, competing and traveling. I took part on the FWT and many other Freeride comps, which made me, appreciate more and more the great team of people I was surrounded by. It’s been awesome, really nice to meet up for every comp in a different part of the world, shearing a great atmosphere and getting inspired by very talented people.
Last season I took a year off competing, I wanted a change, to get involved in filming and other fun projects. It was a hard decision coz I knew how much I was going to miss the bunch of people I grew so found of and all the fun we had.
That’s when I got offered to judge for the FWT, and why not? It was a great way of keeping in touch with all the fun aspects of it and still being able to do my thing for the winter.
So for this season I find my self on the judging table once again. This opens up a whole new area for me. I love the challenge. I know how difficult it is to read the mountain and to imagine it from above and how hard it is to find the balance between riding in harmony and creating a good show.
But I have to say… I found it equally challenging to put down the correct judging for each rider. It is very demanding and I think it takes a lot of experience as a rider to be a good judge.
Hope you all have a great season and see you up there!
