Born in June 1975 in Switzerland, Andre began snowboarding in 1989 aged just 14. On the path to turning professional in 2006, he began his career in 1998 entering competitive boarder-cross and freeride competitions.
Andre is known by some as somewhat of a Nomad who has a double winter life. In his summers away from the Swiss mountains, he heads to his second home in Argentina where he travels in search of powder with his converted bus named ‘el bondi’.
In the last few years, Andre has concentrated more on filming and photo projects besides competing and running the highly successful Independent Snowboarding in Verbier.
